Older photos

Working on some older photos this week to get cought up alittle.....oh right ! That never happenes....lol

There are some photos of my daughter who is getting ready to turn 23 !!

Its me again...lol

I got alot of catching up to do as far as posting some pages I have done this last month but will try to just add a few at a time.
Page one is of my son at Halloween a couple years ago.
Page 2 is of my grandson on his last visit with us.

Navy Pier

I did this double page spread for my daughters book but still needed alittle more book but didnt want to make a third page. Since I do 8x8 books I took a 12x12 page protector and turned it into a 8x8 with some "extra" space for some more photos.

First 2 pages are showing the 2 page spread as you see it in the book. The 3rd page will show the "extra" space when you open it.

Oldies but cuties

I was looking through some supplies this weekend and came across these OLD stickers By Suzie Zoo. They have to be atleast 10 years old...did I say that....lol. But they are too cute not to use so I pulled out some old photos from back then that I didnt get scrapped yet and used them together cause

they were from the same time line. Funny cause I did a page about my youngest son being born and it was 7 years to the day the photo was taken.

Our baby just turned 7....wow !

So dont be affraid to pull out those old supplies and tie them in with some new things.

Im back

Been gone awhile........I was having so many internet problems but think everything is now fix and working again (fingers crossed) I have also been working with the girls at the Boys and Girls Club of America here in my town. Im teaching the scrapbooking and we are having so much fun !!!! I want to say thank you to my internet scrapbook friends who have sent me their unwanted scrapbook supplies for the girls to use !!!! I would run out of supplies very fast if it wasent for such great friends :) The girls and I love you .......Jill, Deanna, Brenda, Michelle C, Valerie.

Lil Hot Momma

Heres a girl page finally, I love when I get photos of daughter ! I had been waiting to use these papers and chipboard so Im happy with this page.
You cant tell in this photo but every other mushroom has been popdotted.

Grandson

Today I got a page done for my oldest grandsons book. I was hoping to get more done but I ended up working on photos and making sure I had everything I wanted printed cause I want to start on their Hawaii books.

I hope I can pull this off cause Im still working on Disney World and Bowling.....lol Not to mention got to get last years school book in order before the new year starts.....lol

Simple pages

Ok these are not too simple but the were quick and easy pages.
Pooh is for my book with handcut flowers from pattern paper and then pop dotted to stand out. Fishing page is really just alot of stickers but I got to scrap a photo from about 10 years ago :)

Bowling

Our son is so fair skinned we didn't want him outside playing sports just yet but we wanted him to do something to get out of the house and be apart of a team so we signed him up for bowling. He LOVES it !!!!
He has his own little calendar and marks off the days till bowling night !Hes been bowling 5 weeks and is already talking about his own shoes and own bowling ball.....lol
I'm making him a book of just his bowling cause it lasts a year and that will be alot of pages ! I'm making a 2 page spread every week. some of my pages are starting to look alike cause I'm fitting his scores on the page and it don't leave much room after that but were still having fun !

Week of scrapping

My Mother was here all last week and we got lots of scrapping done and some scrap shopping done too !! It will take me a couple days to get photos of all my pages I did but heres a couple for now.

Fairy Godmothers: I handcut circles from the papers, popdotted and glittered them to stand out.

Cupcake: I hand made my own cupcakes. I added puff paint and glitter.

DT try-outs

I made a page today about trying out for Design Teams.

It sucks cause you will try out for TONS of teams before someone will pick you. It seems the sites and forums always go for the same style scrapper which are those who pile of the flowers and pretty papers. If you look all their teams members pages really look alike. I hate that cause to be honest there are more of us "regular" scrappers than there are those fancy scrappers.

Their work is beautiful to look at but lets get real and put some ladies on those design teams that we ALL can look up to and get ideas from !!!!

NEVER give up ladies, just keep trying even if its for a team with no goodies in return. Just get your foot in the door :)

Title Challenge

I do alot of challenges at Sassy Scrappers and for this one we had to use the title: "It doesent get any better than this". everyone goes for short titles so this one was to help you think outside the box and go for a big title :)


I just had fun and went wild on this page and stuck everything that caught my eye on it....lol

Boys & their Toys

The Scrapbook Blog I just told you about called "Scrap the Boys" has a monthly challenge and this month is called "Boys and their Toys". You need to have a photo with the boys (young or old) and their toys. You also need to use Red, Black and one other color on your page.

I found a fun blog thats for you scrappers who scrap BOYS.
You know when you go to the LSS and such there is always more girl things than boy thing. I guess cause the owners are ladies and we like to buy girly things. We went to Disney World over 3 years ago and Im STILL working on pages...lol Im making 3 albums. One for hubby and I and one for each of the boys. When it comes to Disney the girl pages are easier for me I guess cause there are more things to use on girly page. Heres a page for my book.

Clean and Simple

Your going to be seeing some clean and simple pages from me over the next couple weeks. I printed all the photos of my grandsons from their visit here with hubby and I. Im making them a little book for their house so they can look back on the times spent with Grammy and Papa.
Im putting these photos in their books here too but making simple and clean pages for their house cause I want them to be able to carry them around and look at them.

Yes your at the right place.....I just have a new look !!I really love those robots but was ready for something new and different so I made up some cupcake things. Im still working and have other things to complete but its a start :)Hope my blog dont make you hungry now....lol

Funky stuff

A couple days ago I found some funky stuff at Walmart in the
ribbon by the year area.....its kinda like lace but not.
It had looks on it and they must have elastic in them cause
they spring when you pull them. It lays very flat on pages too.
Here is a page I made using this fun stuff....its the PINK stuff.

NOTE: It does come unraveled when you cut it so I coated my ends
with "Glossy Accents" you could use anything that drys CLEAR.

The boys

I just love this photo of the boys ! They spent the day jumping
on the trampoline and they took a minute of out their busy day
to pose for me....lol

Glitter Storage

I had so much glitter in so many different containers I decided

to put them all in something that would be easy to store and see.

After alittle hunting I found this clear box with smaller round

containers in it. They have screw on lids so the glitter dont get out.

This is just one of the boxed I have filled so far, Im on box number 2

and looks like I will need one more :)

I got the box at Walmart for like 6.50 I think.

Two Weeks

Wow its been 2 weeks since I posted !

I have been so busy with things going on around here

from spring cleaning, to extra people in the house to

school events and Easter shopping....lol

I havent got to scrap much these 2 weeks but Im back

and scrapping and ready for some fun new challenges at

Sassy Scrappers !! We have SO MANY challenges there

you couldnt scrap then all in a week :)

Wow only a couple weeks till Christmas and Im still getting

Weekend long crop

I normally crop at home alone while online with my scrap sisters

at Sassy Scrappers but this weekend while in the LSS I got to chatting

with a couple ladies who were a "hoot" so I decided to go to their weekend

long crop.

Crop Hours:

Fri. 4pm to 2am.......Sat 9am to 2 am....&.......Sun 9am to 9pm

thats a total of 39 hours of cropping time and I was there for ALL of it !!!

Heres a few pages I got done while there, which is amazing since

my mouth never shut.....lol.....Im a talker.....lol

Big Thanks

I just wanted to say a Big Thank You to all the ladies who
have sent me personal emails about my blog !

SCRAP blog is just that SCRAPPING. Some of you said

and sometimes takes alot of reading to get to the scrap part.
I do blog about my family also ladies but I have another blog
for that. That blog is for my family and close friends only so

Fall Time

Oh dont you just love Fall with the cool breeze and colors !~

This is my favorite time of the year and wish it lasted longer.

It took me not time at all to get the boys outside for photos...lol

Ok I found 5 minutes to do one more page....lol

Spencer is just loving school so far.

Before school started he got this letter in the mail

from is teacher and was more than excited....lol

She took time to tell us alittle about herself, our new

classroom and how excited she was to meet us too.

Hubby and I both thought this was very nice of a teacher

to do to help get the new kids excited about school.

Long time no see....hehehe

I know its been awhile since I have posted but been VERY busy
as most of you know. I did get a few pages done and after this
weekend I should be back on track and scrapping again....lol

I got some more old photos scrapped, they are not as

hard to do as I thought they might be. Hardest part

is making myself use OLD supplies so they look like

I scrapped them back then in the book.

I have been working on my daughters baby book again

and the photos are not the best. Ashlie is 21 years old now.

I want her to have a baby book but we all know the photos

back then were not the best so Im picking and choosing.

Today was a GREAT mail day....I got something that
I ordered today along with goodies from winning the
"Wet and Wild" challenge over at Sassy Scrappers and

Most sites have very pretty or girly kits so I love that Kristen

Scrappers near me

If anyone know of any scrappers living in or near
Corsicana would you either tell them about me or
tell me about them....I have been looking for someone
to crop with since I moved here but nothing. Im a very
laid back person and scrapper. The only person I met so
far was more worried about her makeup than her pages....lol
Thats just not me, Im plain jane who just wanted to scrap
with some new friends.

can post me a note (either here or in the message board which
is on the sidebar pretty far down)

Blackberry picking

I try really hard to keep my scrapbook blog "scrapbook"

but just had to share these. Spencer and I went to a orchard

that had peaches, blackberries, plums and tons of veggies.

We picked till we couldnt pick any longer....lol

trying to get those photos loaded and sich so I could

scrap them...lol

Design Team Work

On a roll

Im on a roll making pages and its about time....lol

I couldnt get a page to come out the way I wanted

for about 3 weeks....but some far so good this week :)

New Photo Printer

Oh Im loving this !!!!!!!
Ok I have wanted a printer for home cause I scrap at
night, most of the time from about midnight to 4 am
so when I run out of photos I cant pop into Walmart
and get some. While my Parents were here seeing our
middle child graduate we went scrapbook shopping and
I got to stop in Office Depo to peek at printers.
I fould one for much cheaper than we thought we would
have to pay. I got the HP Photosmart D7460 and LOVE IT !!!
You couldnt get me to give this up....NO WAY.....lol

The best part is Im really saving money. Before I would
pop my memory stick into the photo center of Walmart
to get all my photo but only ended up scrapping about half
of those. The others were photos I didnt like or wouldnt use.
some I just never got around to scrapping....wasting money.
With this printer I just print what I need for that page as Im
working on it and its wonderful. No more boxes of photos
just sitting there !!
And I scrap 8x8 so now I can just print wallets and can get
more of each theme on the page too :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE this printer.......Thanks Honey for buying
this wonderful goodie :)

I know Im getting slower and slower about posting on the
blog but Im so busy making pages over as Sassy Scrapper
for the charms and at Serendipity Scrapbooks for our fun
Team Challenge they keep me busy :)

Finally

I finally got a few minutes to scrap this week.

I got many pages started but they dont look right

just yet so I will keep working and get them done asap.

the new puppy we just got named Abby.

Abby

Today we got a new family member and the guys named

her ABBY....she so pretty with all her spots. She has both

red healer and blue healer in her. She very sweet and LOVES

Spencer she gets closer and closer till hes right on top of him

and in his lap.....lol

Spencer had to go right to Walmart to shop for her, we came

home with 4 toys, rawhide bones, bog treats, water and food bowls

leash, coller, brush and flea/tick medicine.....lol Boy Abby is not cheap....lol

But shes too cute !! :)

Robbery

These last couple week have been crazy. I have had scrappers block, son is getting ready to graduate and last night while we were awake, lights on and right in our kitchen someone robbed us !!!!
Our garage goes right into our kitchen. Our garage door was open cause we just got home from Walmart and I was cooking dinner. the garage light was on and boy is it bright in there cause we have the regular light, light above the laundry and another BIG set of lights above hubbys work bench. Also the spot light shinning on our cars was on !! The kitchen door was also open !!!!!!!!!! Someone walked right into the garage with me in the kitchen & I didnt even see or hear a thing !!!!!!!!!!!!!
They took brand new lawn mower brought like 4 months ago for 400.00, chain saw, new air compressor, weed eaters, welder, thats all we have noticed gone so far. They didnt get the 4 wheeler cause it had a flat. Our cars were parked in front of the garage so they HAD to lift the lawn mower up OVER THE CARS to get it out !!!! I took out trash and was closing the door when I noticed the lawn mower gone....we started looking to find tons of PRICEY things gone !!
We called the police but we know we wont see those things again. I feel SO BAD for hubby cause most families have 2 income and barely get by.....we only have ONE income and dont have crap to our names......he does for the family and dont get much !!! And they cleaned him out and those were all Birthday and Christmas gifts.
Talk about bad luck this month, Now Im scared cause they could have walked right into the house !!! They were very brave to rob us with the lights on and us awake !

Graduation

Next Friday our middle child will have his High School
Graduation......YEA! Now we have one more child to get
through school but it will be a long road cause he hasent
even started school yet.....LOL
Our middle child will graduate high school and 3 months
later our youngest will start kindergarden.......lol

We so very proud of him and hes so excited he cant stand it...lol
I will post pictures as soon as we got new ones.

Just wanted to let you know why I havent been posting but
things are pretty busy around here right now.

Can you make a page in 15 minutes ??

Ok I was reading a blog and it said we take too much time

thinking about a page and waiting for something to jump

out at us. It said to pick a photo and then give yourself 15

minutes to work on the page and see what you can get done.

so I did just that.....lol

I will say it was a REAL CHALLENGE for me.....lol

Here are 3 pages I did but I will say that they are alittle plain
to me and will be adding a few things to the pages.

Everyone should try the 15 minute challenge :)

Couple Recipe tags

I whipped up a couple 4x6 recipe tags last night.

2 were for a swap in the advanced group and the

other 2 were for a challenge at Sassy Scrappers.

Senior Pages

Only 2 1/2 more weeks and our middle child will graduate

from High School, we cant believe how the time just flew by.

Were so proud of him and just thankful with how the kids are

today that hes a really great kid and worked so hard in school

to graduate !!

I know its been alittle while since I posted and I got
tons of pages to share too. I will try and get the pages
posted asap.
I have had scrappers block for about a week. But Im
going to try and get a few things done tonight.

Also were down to the last 3 weeks before graduation !!
Im so happy our middle child is done with school but
the sad things is now were starting all over as our youngest
child will now be starting school.....lol
